Use the table below to determine your risk of flooding.Flood insurance

1% Annual Chance Flood Hazard: If you have a Federally backed mortgage, you will have flood insurance already. If you own your house it is up to your discretion to purchase flood insurance.

0.2% Annual Chance Flood Hazard: It is up to your discretion to purchase flood insurance.

Area with Reduced Risk Due to Levee: It is up to your discretion to purchase flood insurance. Some mortgage companies may still require you to purchase flood insurance.

If you are in an area that is not showing up as being flooded, you can still choose to opt into buying flood insurance. If you are in this category, you will be given a reduced rate compared to people who are in the floodplain because your house has less risk. This type of policy is called a Preferred Risk Policy (PRP).
