On February 21, 1972 the City of Horace, North Dakota formed the Horace Park District with the passage of Ordinance No. 188.
Horace Park District manages several parks: Independence Park, Freed Park, Westwood, Arrowood, Willow Park, and Maple Grove.
Horace Park Board oversee the summer recreation program each summer for Horace area youth. Activities offered include T -ball, baseball, softball, volley ball, tennis, golf, play-town and music. It usually runs the months of June and July.
