In 2021, the City of Horace, together with the Horace Dance Pros, a local competitive dance team, and members of the Senior Center, hosted a citywide Halloween event for the first time in years. The event was held at the Horace Senior Center and included a dance performance by the dance team, a one-mile glow run, games and prizes, a bake sale, food and an open dance floor with a DJ. The event was reminiscent of years gone by as costumed folk (nearly 500!) of all ages, gathered together for an evening of pure camaraderie.
