Utility Rates
The City of Horace provides Water and Sewer treatment services to residents. Residents in Horace Proper receive water through the City of Horace. Those outside of Horace Proper receive water service from Cass Rural Water and are billed directly from Cass Rural Water. Please click here to view a map of the Horace water service area. Residents who live within the blue-shaded area receive Horace water service. If the residence receives water from the City of Horace, the city utility bill will include the monthly cost of service for Water, Sewer, and Trash / Recycling, Forestry, Vector Control and Water Tower / Lagoon Surcharges. All residential water, sewer, and garbage / recycling monthly rate restructures are reviewed by Horace City Council annually.

Residential and Commercial base rate $27.00
5/8"-3/4"- larger meter rates available by calling City Utilities.
Usage Rate October 1st-April30th
$5.40 per 1,000 gallons
Usage Rate May 1st-September 30th
$5.40 per 1,000 gallons (0-5,999 gallons)
$6.40 per 1,000 gallons (6,000-9,999 gallons)
$7.40 per 1,000 gallons (over 10,000 gallons)
If your water meter is malfunctioning or is not reading properly, please get in touch with City Hall at (701) 492-2972 to schedule a time to troubleshoot. Do not disconnect or tamper with equipment.
