The Public Works Department employees have many jobs within the City of Horace. Their primary areas of responsibilities include maintaining and grading our streets as well as overseeing water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, buildings and grounds maintenance.

Our public works employees ensure that essential services are available to Horace residents. When it snows, they provide us with plowed roads. When a watermain breaks, no matter the time of day, they are ready to respond. They fix potholes, grade roads, mow lawns, and retrieve the appliances you no longer need. Our city would not run smoothly without our public works employees.

With the growth rate of our city and our limited staff, there may be delays to the services they provide, but the employees in this department strive to complete their work in a timely manner, for the comfort of all residents.
